Double Grapple
A downloadable game for Windows
Swing across perilous pits and solve perplexing puzzles with not one, but two grappling hooks! Are your movements and moxie enough to make it through?
Inspired by Portal, Double Grapple brings a new perspective to first-person puzzle solving by using physics-based (and grapple-based) movement to create unique puzzles that change the way you think about the space around you.
This prototype was originally created by Davin White for GAME-132 (Game Level Editing) at JCCC as a semester-long project to create a complete and polished level. Double Grapple is a first-person physics-based puzzle game where two grappling hooks must be used in combination to succeed. Development of this prototype included the creation of deliberate physics-based aerial movement, a balanced difficulty curve, and effective signposting for the player.
The dynamic cursor sprites were created for this project. All textures and music are pre-made assets.
